Wang Bi
Wang Bi is a 59-year-old grandmother from Shenzhen who, along with her neighbor Li Yang, engages in the labor-intensive task of slicing apart hundreds of molded silicon monster heads that are later assembled into Lafufus, imitation versions of the viral Labubu dolls. Despite her involvement in this underground market, Wang had never heard of Labubus until informed during an interview, illustrating the disconnect between local labor and the global toy phenomenon.
