Wang Junxia
Wang Junxia is a retired Chinese middle-distance runner who made history at the 1993 Beijing National Games by setting the world record for the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:06.11, a record that remains unbroken to this day. She also set world records in the 10,000 meters and 1,500 meters during her career, contributing to China's dominance in women's distance running during the early 1990s. Her remarkable achievements were later overshadowed by allegations of state-sponsored doping within her training group.
