Yevghen Iangosuk

Yevghen Iangosuk is a 51-year-old Ukrainian infantry lieutenant and former boxing instructor who sustained severe injuries in combat, including to his neck, torso, legs, and arms. He is a war veteran who survived a drone attack on July 4, 2024, after crawling over 15 kilometers through debris and abandoned fields to reach safety. Iangosuk represents the many injured soldiers who seek to ensure their sacrifices are honored, as he voices concerns over potential territorial compromises that could betray the memories of fallen comrades.
