Yohannes Fisseha

Yohannes Fisseha is a project coordinator for the Centre for Victims of Torture (CVT) in Ethiopia, where he worked on providing crucial mental health support to survivors of sexual violence in the Tigray region. Following the recent freeze on foreign assistance, Fisseha's work has been abruptly halted, leaving him and his colleagues in a challenging position as they are unable to continue vital counseling and therapy sessions for trauma survivors. The sudden cessation of these services not only disrupts ongoing support but also exacerbates the trauma faced by the victims.
