Yoko

Yoko

animal Colombia

Yoko is a 40 to 45-year-old chimpanzee who has recently gained attention due to his relocation from Colombia to the Sorocaba sanctuary in São Paulo, Brazil. Having spent much of his life in unconventional circumstances, Yoko was raised in the household of a deceased narcotrafficker and became accustomed to a human-like lifestyle, including eating with utensils, wearing clothes, and even enjoying activities like riding a horse and watching television. After a series of legal and logistical challenges, Yoko is finally set to join a community of other rescued chimpanzees at the sanctuary, where he will have the opportunity to live among his own species after years of captivity.
