Ziyavudin Magomedov
Ziyavudin Magomedov is a Russian businessman and former senator who co-founded the Summa Group, a diversified investment company. He was involved in various large-scale infrastructure projects in Russia, including the reconstruction of airports and stadiums. In 2018, he was arrested on charges of embezzlement exceeding 11 billion rubles, and in 2022, he was sentenced to 19 years in a strict regime colony, later reduced to 18.5 years in 2023. His legal troubles are linked to accusations of using offshore companies to launder illegally acquired funds.
