
Andrey Melnyk
Andrey Melnyk is a Ukrainian diplomat who served as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany from 2014 to 2022 and as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2022 to 2023. In December 2023, he was appointed as Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Melnyk is known for his outspoken nature, having previously made headlines for his controversial remarks about German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, which led to his removal from the ambassadorial position in Germany.
