Burumahan Maoleduo
Burumahan Maoleduo, a 86-year-old border patrol volunteer from Xinjiang, has dedicated her life to safeguarding China's borders. Inspired by her father's dying wish, she became one of the first female volunteer border guards in the region. Over her lifetime, she has traveled over 80,000 kilometers, diligently marking the border with stones inscribed with the word 'China'. Her steadfast commitment to her country and her community earned her recognition from President Xi Jinping during his visit to an exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of Xinjiang's establishment.
