Christina of Sweden

Christina of Sweden (1626-1689) was an unconventional monarch known for her intelligence, cultural patronage, and refusal to conform to the expectations of her gender. She abdicated the throne in 1654, converted to Catholicism, and moved to Rome, where she became a prominent figure in European intellectual circles, advocating for the arts and philosophy.
