Erik XIV
Erik XIV was King of Sweden from 1560 to 1568, renowned for his attempts to strengthen the kingdom and enhance its power. Born in 1533, he was the son of King Gustav I of Sweden. Erik's reign was marked by military conflicts and his mental health struggles, which ultimately led to his deposition. He died in 1577, having spent his last years imprisoned.
