Hacujo Nakamurová

Hacujo Nakamurová was a widow and seamstress living in Hiroshima. On the morning of the atomic bombing, she was at home with her three children when the explosion struck. She managed to survive the destruction but faced the immediate danger of rescuing her youngest daughter, Mieko, who became trapped under the debris of their home.
