Masakazu Fudžii
Dr. Masakazu Fudžii was a dedicated physician and owner of a private hospital in Hiroshima. On the fateful morning of August 6, 1945, he was reading the Osaka Asahi newspaper on his veranda when the atomic bomb was dropped. Miraculously, he survived the blast, which destroyed his hospital, and found himself amidst the chaos of injured citizens, which would challenge and define his practice in the days following the bombing.
