Hsiung Chia-hua

Hsiung Chia-hua is a local guest house proprietor in Mae Salong, Thailand, who reminisces about his family's ties to the KMT. Having attended high school in Taiwan on a government scholarship, he reflects on the cultural exchange between Mae Salong and Taiwan, while expressing concerns about the fading identity among the younger generation of villagers.
