Josip Batarelo

Josip Batarelo was a Croatian veteran and the Deputy Director of a local company prior to the war. He was taken captive during the fall of Vukovar and ultimately murdered at Ovčara. Batarelo's family received a telegram from him shortly before his capture, expressing his love for them, and his story exemplifies the tragic loss experienced by many families during the conflict.
