
Zorislav Gašpar
Zorislav Gašpar, known affectionately as 'Gašo,' was a young Croatian soldier born in Vukovar. At just 20 years old, he became a skilled fighter during the Croatian War of Independence, adept at operating mortars and targeting enemy positions effectively. Gašpar was taken captive under brutal circumstances from a hospital in Vukovar, where he was later murdered at the infamous Ovčara mass grave site. He is remembered as a hero by his comrades for his bravery in battle and his dedication to defending his hometown.
