Juan de Dios Usuga

Juan de Dios Usuga, known as 'Giovanni', is the brother of Dairo Antonio Usuga and a key figure in the Clan del Golfo, Colombia's leading drug cartel. Together with his brother, he has played a significant role in the cartel's operations, which include drug trafficking and migrant smuggling. The Clan del Golfo, which he co-founded, has roots in former paramilitary groups and has been linked to violence and organized crime in Colombia. Recently, the U.S. government has considered designating this cartel as a terrorist organization, reflecting the increasing recognition of its threat to national security.
