criminal Colombia

Dairo Antonio Usuga, also known as 'Otoniel', is a prominent Colombian drug lord and the leader of the Clan del Golfo, Colombia's most powerful drug trafficking organization. Emerging from the remnants of right-wing paramilitary groups disbanded in the early 2000s, Usuga has been instrumental in the production and trafficking of cocaine, collaborating closely with Mexican cartels to smuggle drugs into the United States. His organization has also been implicated in human trafficking and controlling migration routes through the Darién jungle. Usuga was recently in the news due to the potential designation of his cartel as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government.
