Karla Reyes

Karla Reyes is a 31-year-old game developer and the founder of Anima Interactive, based in Los Angeles, California. Born in New York to a Guatemalan father from Quetzaltenango and a Filipino mother, Reyes is creating a narrative adventure game titled 'Take Us North,' which aims to illuminate the experiences of migrants and asylum seekers as they journey towards the U.S.-Mexico border. With a background in music and a self-taught approach to programming, she is dedicated to humanizing migration stories and fostering empathy through interactive art. Her project has garnered media attention and aims to raise awareness about critical global issues.
