Mert Arslanalp

Mert Arslanalp is a political scientist at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. His research interests include the regression of democracy and the implications of authoritarianism in contemporary governance. Arslanalp participated in the SOS4Democracy conference, emphasizing the need for a more nuanced understanding of regime classifications in light of rising authoritarian tendencies in both the United States and Europe.
