Pavlo Kartashov

Pavlo Kartashov is the Deputy Minister for Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine. He has been prominently involved in advocating for international recognition of the environmental damages caused by the ongoing war with Russia. At the COP30 climate conference, he highlighted the significant carbon emissions resulting from the conflict and announced Ukraine's intent to seek 43 billion dollars in compensation from Russia for climate-related damages, a move supported by the European Union.
