Peter Paul Rubens
Peter Paul Rubens was a Flemish painter and diplomat, widely regarded as one of the most important figures of the Baroque art movement. Born on June 28, 1577, in Siegen, Germany, he became known for his dynamic compositions, vibrant colors, and ability to convey movement and emotion in his works. His artistic legacy includes over 3,000 paintings, with notable works such as 'The Descent from the Cross' and 'The Garden of Love.' Rubens was also a skilled diplomat and collector, which influenced his art and its themes. He passed away on May 30, 1640.
