Svetlana Tihanovskaia is a Belarusian opposition leader who emerged as a significant figure in the fight against the authoritarian regime of Alexander Lukashenko. After running for president in 2020 and facing intimidation and harassment, she fled to Lithuania, where she has since championed democracy and human rights in Belarus. Tihanovskaia has been an active advocate for supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression, stating that aiding Ukraine would benefit the entire region, including Belarus and Moldova.
