Svetlana Tikhonovskaya is a Belarusian opposition leader who emerged as a prominent figure in the 2020 presidential elections against Alexander Lukashenko. Following her husband, Sergiy Tikhonovskiy's arrest, she took his place as a candidate, rallying widespread support despite facing repression from the regime. Her campaign highlighted demands for democratic reforms and human rights, and she has since become a symbol of resistance against authoritarian rule in Belarus.
