Ulrike Meinhof was a prominent member and founding figure of the Red Army Faction (RAF), known for her radical leftist ideologies and involvement in acts of terrorism in Germany during the 1970s. Initially a journalist, she became increasingly involved in militant activities, eventually being arrested and committing suicide in prison in 1976, which further inflamed the RAF's violent campaign against the state.
