Walter Braga Neto is a Brazilian retired Army general and politician who served as the Minister of Defense under former President Jair Bolsonaro from 2020 to 2022. Known for his close ties to Bolsonaro, Braga Neto was also the vice-presidential candidate on Bolsonaro's ticket in the 2022 elections. Recently, he has been implicated in a conspiracy to commit a coup against President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, as the Brazilian Attorney General filed charges against him and others for attempting to undermine Brazil's democratic process.
