Woo Young-bok

Woo Young-bok is a North Korean defector who escaped to South Korea in 2019. Living in temporary housing provided by the South Korean government, she has shared her experiences of life in North Korea and the challenges faced by those still living under the regime's strict controls. Young-bok's insights highlight the difficulties of communication and support for families still residing in North Korea, as well as the increased risks associated with attempting to send aid back home.
