Yusef Salaam
Yusef Salaam is one of the members of the Central Park Five, a group of African American and Hispanic men wrongfully convicted for the 1989 rape of a jogger in New York's Central Park. After spending years in prison, he was exonerated in 2002 when DNA evidence and another person's confession proved their innocence. Salaam has since become an advocate for criminal justice reform and has spoken publicly about his experiences, highlighting issues of racial profiling and wrongful convictions.
