Yusef Salaam is one of the members of the Central Park Five, a group of African American and Hispanic men wrongfully convicted for the 1989 rape of a jogger in New York's Central Park. After spending years in prison, he was exonerated in 2002 when DNA evidence and another person's confession proved their innocence.
