Ciora Thomas

Ciora Thomas is a dedicated activist and the founder of Sisters PGH, a nonprofit organization in Pittsburgh that provides housing and support services for the transgender community. Once a homeless teenage sex worker, Thomas has used her experiences to advocate for the rights and well-being of transgender individuals, particularly those facing harassment and discrimination in more conservative states. Her work has been crucial in addressing the needs of trans people and fostering a supportive community amid increasing hostility toward LGBTQ rights.
