Henry Enrique Tarrio
Henry 'Enrique' Tarrio is the former national chairman of the Proud Boys, a far-right extremist group. He gained notoriety for his role in organizing and participating in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot, which aimed to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. In relation to these events, Tarrio was convicted of seditious conspiracy and other charges, receiving a 22-year prison sentence, the longest among his co-defendants. Following his conviction, he was pardoned by former President Donald Trump, who asserted that the treatment of Tarrio and his associates was unjust. Recently, Tarrio has made headlines again by suing the U.S. government for $100 million, claiming that his prosecution was marred by political bias and violations of his constitutional rights.
