James W. Head

James W. Head is a professor of Earth, environmental and planetary sciences at Brown University and a veteran of the Apollo program. He has drawn parallels between the Apollo 8 and Artemis II missions, noting that both represent significant moments in space exploration history. He believes that Artemis II could inspire a renewed sense of unity and purpose, much like Apollo 8 did during its time, as humanity prepares to return to the moon after more than 50 years.
