Jeffrey Rathke

Jeffrey Rathke is a former U.S. diplomat and the current president of the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies at Johns Hopkins University. He has extensive experience in U.S.-European relations and often comments on transatlantic issues, particularly in the context of security and diplomatic relations. Recently, Rathke has expressed concern about the growing anxiety, disappointment, and alarm among European leaders regarding the changing dynamics of U.S. foreign policy under President Trump, especially in relation to the conflict in Ukraine.
