Leonardas Grigonis-Užpalis

Leonardas Grigonis-Užpalis was a prominent leader among Lithuanian partisans, actively participating in the resistance against Soviet rule. He was one of the signatories of the Declaration of the Lithuanian Freedom Fight Council in 1949, which outlined the framework for Lithuania's armed struggle. Grigonis-Užpalis's commitment to his country cost him his life, as he fought valiantly for Lithuanian sovereignty.
