
Petras Bartkus-Žadgaila
Petras Bartkus-Žadgaila was an important leader in the Lithuanian partisan movement, recognized for his efforts in the resistance against Soviet domination. He was one of the eight signatories of the Declaration of the Lithuanian Freedom Fight Council in 1949, which laid the groundwork for organized armed resistance. Bartkus-Žadgaila's dedication to Lithuania's freedom led to his untimely death during the conflict.
