Luis Chaves is a prominent Costa Rican writer known for his impactful poetry and narrative works. Celebrated for his literary contributions, he received the Premio Nacional Aquileo Echeverría for his poetry collection 'La máquina de hacer niebla' in 2012. Chaves has authored several notable books, including 'Chan Marshall' and 'Asfalto: Un road poem'. He was recently selected for the Writer's Residency program at the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (Malba) to develop his project 'Zapote', which explores the social and historical intricacies of his hometown.
