
Olga Sturdza
Born in 1884 into the Mavrocordat family, Princess Olga Sturdza was a talented Romanian artist known for her sculpture and painting. She studied under renowned artists in Berlin and Paris and became an advocate for orphans during World War I. Her life was marked by adversity, as she faced persecution under the communist regime that led to her arrest in 1953. After her release, she moved to France, where she lived until her death in 1971.
