At just two and a half years old, she fled Ukraine with her mother, Dariia, seeking refuge and medical treatment for her leukemia in Italy. Despite the trauma of war and her illness, Polina has shown remarkable resilience and strength. After receiving treatment at the Regina Margherita hospital in Turin, she is now in recovery. Her journey reflects the struggles of many children affected by the conflict, embodying hope and survival amidst adversity.
