Sophie Binet
Sophie Binet is the Secretary General of the CGT (Confédération Générale du Travail), one of France's largest trade unions. Known for her advocacy for workers' rights, Binet has been vocal about the health impacts of industrial pollution, particularly concerning PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). In February 2023, she led a call for an urgent meeting with the French Prime Minister to address the dual challenges of industrial responsibility and worker health amidst growing concerns about environmental hazards.
