Umbu TW Pariangu is the Head Lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Nusa Cendana University in Kupang, Indonesia. He has recently been in the news for discussing the implications of social assistance programs in Indonesia, particularly in relation to issues of social justice and the responsibilities of both the state and citizens in the distribution of welfare.
