Wadih Damous
Wadih Damous is a Brazilian lawyer and politician, affiliated with the Workers' Party (PT). He served as a federal deputy and is a close ally of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Damous has been a vocal critic of the Operation Lava Jato investigations during his tenure as the president of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) in Rio de Janeiro. Recently, he was approved by the Senate to become the director-president of the National Health Agency (ANS), after previously leading the Secretariat for Consumer Defense (Senacon), where he effectively managed issues related to health plan contracts.
