Blaze Metreveli

Blaze Metreveli is set to make history as the first woman to lead the British foreign intelligence service MI6, taking over the role from Richard Moore this autumn. A seasoned intelligence officer, she has held significant positions within both MI6 and MI5, including her current leadership of the Q Division, which focuses on technology and innovation. A graduate of the University of Cambridge with a degree in social anthropology, Metreveli has extensive operational experience in the Middle East and Europe. Her appointment marks a significant milestone for gender representation in intelligence leadership.
