
Daniil Kharms
Daniil Kharms was a Russian avant-garde poet and writer, born in 1905, known for his absurdist and surrealist style. A member of the OBERIU (Union of Real Art), Kharms's work often featured bizarre scenarios and unconventional narratives. His writings were largely ignored during his lifetime due to Stalin's regime, which persecuted many artists and intellectuals. Kharms spent time in prison for his opposition to the Soviet regime, and he died in obscurity in 1942, with his work gaining recognition posthumously for its innovative and unique approach to literature.
