
Jang Song-thaek
Jang Song-thaek was a high-ranking official in North Korea and the uncle of Kim Jong-un. He served as Vice Chairman of the National Defense Commission and was considered a key advisor to Kim Jong-un in the early years of his rule. However, in 2013, he was executed on charges of treason, corruption, and other alleged offenses, marking a brutal consolidation of power by Kim Jong-un.
