Ladislav Nemet
Ladislav Nemet is the Archbishop of Belgrade and a recently appointed cardinal, having been created a cardinal by Pope Francis in December 2022. He previously served as the bishop of the Zrenjanin diocese, a position he was appointed to by Pope Benedict XVI in April 2008. Nemet is multilingual, speaking Hungarian, Serbian, English, German, Polish, Italian, and Croatian. Following the death of Pope Francis, he is set to participate in the upcoming conclave to elect a new pope, highlighting his significant role within the Catholic Church during this transitional period.
