Levi Strauss (1829-1902) fue un empresario estadounidense y fundador de Levi Strauss & Co., una de las compañías de ropa más reconocidas del mundo. Nacido en Alemania, emigró a Estados Unidos donde comenzó su carrera en el comercio de telas, pero es más famoso por haber creado los primeros pantalones vaqueros de mezclilla en 1873, que se convirtieron en un símbolo de la cultura americana y la moda global.
