Mikhail Mishustin
Mikhail Mishustin is a Russian politician and the current Prime Minister of Russia, having taken office in January 2020. Before his appointment as Prime Minister, Mishustin served as the head of the Federal Tax Service, where he was credited with modernizing the tax system and improving revenue collection. His tenure as Prime Minister has been marked by significant economic challenges and responses to international sanctions, especially following geopolitical tensions involving Russia. Recently, he was in the news for signing a decree stating that Russia would not pay its contribution to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe for the year 2024, a decision made upon the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and agreed upon with the Ministry of Finance.
