Şevket Mirziyoyev

Şevket Mirziyoyev is the President of Uzbekistan, having assumed office in 2016 after the death of his predecessor, Islam Karimov. Prior to his presidency, he served as the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan from 2003 to 2016. Mirziyoyev is known for initiating a series of economic reforms aimed at liberalizing the Uzbek economy and enhancing international relations. His leadership has seen a focus on improving infrastructure, attracting foreign investment, and fostering regional cooperation, particularly within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
