Yamandú Orsi Martínez

Yamandú Orsi Martínez is the President of the Republic of Uruguay, having assumed office in March 2020. A member of the left-wing Broad Front party, he previously served as the mayor of the department of Canelones. Known for his focus on social issues and economic development, Orsi has positioned Uruguay as a progressive voice in Latin America. He was recently in the news for confirming his attendance at the upcoming IV Summit between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) in Santa Marta, Colombia.
