Ali Shaath
Ali Shaath is a Palestinian politician and technocrat, currently appointed to lead the newly established Palestinian National Committee for the Management of Gaza. He has previously served as the Deputy Minister of Planning in the Palestinian Authority and held various roles under the leadership of Yasser Arafat in the 1990s. Born in Gaza and now residing in the West Bank, Shaath's leadership comes at a critical time as the Palestinian Authority aims to reduce Hamas's control over the Gaza Strip amidst ongoing efforts for reconstruction and peace.
