Marc Fogel
Marc Fogel is an American teacher who gained international attention after being arrested in Russia in August 2021 for allegedly bringing medical marijuana into the country. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison in June 2022, but his case was later classified as wrongful detention by the Biden administration. Fogel was recently released as part of a diplomatic negotiation facilitated by former President Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff.
